In 2022, my daughter Alice started a sewing business for the summer holidays so she could make enough money to buy a hoola-hoop and a gift for the Ukrainian children who'd moved to the village.

This Christmas, her kitchen table business is back, with perfect stocking fillers and pocket money presents. She's even added her brother to payroll!
