Leisa Stewart-Sharpe is a trained journalist turned children's author, who writes stunning non-fiction and picture books. Fascinated by the natural world, her stories are often inspired by its strange and wonderful creatures.

Her debut, the bestselling Blue Planet II, features a foreword by Sir David Attenborough.

It was the first title in a major children's non-fiction series in collaboration with BBC Earth.

Her books are published worldwide and translated into 15 languages.

Leisa grew up in Australia and now lives in a green English valley with her husband and two wild things. When she's not writing in her garden shed, she can be spotted wandering the hills, dreaming up new stories.
